COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WRMT) — On Thursday, Feb. 8., a man was arrested in Columbus County on drug charges, according to the county sheriff’s office.
Detectives were near Whiteville and noticed suspicious high traffic around Waynes Way off Pine Log Road. They suspected and discovered that crack cocaine was being sold in the area, per a CCSO press release.
The detectives had probable cause to search a home at 88 Waynes Way, the sheriff’s office says.
Broadus Jerome Justice was found inside the home and charged with possession with intent to sell cocaine and trafficking in cocaine. Justice was allegedly possessing 54.05 grams of cocaine, 22.82 grams of marijuana, and using a house to keep and sell the drugs, per the arrest warrant.
Justice is a convicted felon and not allowed to be in possession of a gun, but deputies found him in possession of a semi-automatic pistol, the sheriff’s office says.
He is now being held at the Columbus County jail under a $110,000 secured bond for multiple charges.
