WILMINGTON, N.C. (WRMT) – On Saturday, a hit-and-run killed a man on the 700 block of Eastwood Road.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, they found McGroary Domitrovits, 21, with life-threatening injuries. He later died at the scene of the incident.
Police later discovered a vehicle at Carolina Bay Drive and Eastwood Road that seemed suspicious in connection to the hit-and-run.
Hailey Sigg, 22, the driver of the vehicle, was then arrested and charged with DWI, felony hit-and-run and felony death by vehicle, according to WPD. Sigg is being held at the NHCSO Detention Center under a $625,000 secured bond.
The investigation is still ongoing.
