WILMINGTON, N.C. (WRMT) – Retail chain Target is under fire by conservatives for ‘sexualizing’ Christmas with a LGBTQ+ themed decoration line that features ‘Pride Santa’ and a ‘Pride Christmas Nutcracker’ figurine.
The decorations include a Santa figurine wearing overalls with rainbow suspenders and a white shirt that says “Love is Love.”

Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed on his show that the decor was “sexualizing Christmas for children.”
During Friday’s episode of ‘The View‘, a clip from Fox’s ‘Jesse Watters Primetime’ was shown in which Watters called out the company for selling a “gay nutcracker” to consumers.
After the clip was shown, co-host Joy Behar, 81, weighed in on the matter.
“First of all, it’s just a doll, we’ve seen it many times, the only thing that’s supposedly gay is this flag,” Behar said.

Target has previously faced backlash over its Pride Month collection that included “tuck-friendly” women’s swimsuits, allowing trans women who have not had gender-affirming operations to conceal their genitalia.
Target CEO Brian Cornell defended the LBGTQ-friendly merchandise, saying that selling the items was “the right thing for society.”
However, conservatives boycotted the chain, costing the company a $10 billion loss in market valuation over 10 days.
The 10-Inch ‘Pride Santa’ doll is still available on Target’s website; however, the ‘Pride Christmas Nutcracker Figure’ is unavailable for delivery.
