WILMINGTON, N.C. (WRMT) – Pop music group *NSYNC are reuniting with new music for the DreamWorks Animation movie, ‘Trolls Band Together.’
On Tuesday night, *NSYNC reunited on stage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards to present an award for the Best Pop Video category. The recipient of the award, was none other than Taylor Swift.
“We were here two decades ago when we won this award [for Best Pop Video] for ‘Bye, Bye, Bye,’” Fatone said.
The last time the band performed together was a decade ago at the 2013 VMAs ceremony, performing “Bye, Bye, Bye” and “Girlfriend” during a medley of Justin Timberlake’s hit songs ahead of receiving the Video Vanguard award to celebrate his solo music career.

Swift and fans in attendance were shocked to see the band reunite, hoping it was for more than just an appearance at the VMAs.
“Like, are you doing something?” Swift asked. “What’s going to happen now? They’re going to do something and I need to know what it is.”

According to a reliable source close to the band, *NSYNC will be releasing one new song for the soundtrack of the Dreamworks Animation movie, ‘Trolls Band Together,’ which hits theaters November 17, 2023.
The song, titled “Better Place,” can be heard in the new trailer for the film as well as a newly released clip on the official *NSYNC Youtube channel. The official release of the song is expected to be September 29.
*NSYNC has yet to announce if fans can expect a new album following the release of “Better Place” or a new tour.
