WILMINGTON, N.C. (WRMT) – The Office creator Greg Daniels is planning a reboot of the popular workplace-comedy sitcom for NBC.
Daniels revealed to Matt Beloni of Puck News that he had conceptualized a reboot bringing back old cast members to interact with new cast members working out of the same Dunder Mifflin office in Scranton.
“My biggest concern would be disappointing the fans,” Daniels added.
The news of the new rebook comes off the heals of the Writers Guild of American reaching a tentative deal with film & television studios to end their five-month strike.
Several cast members from the show have expressed interest in returning to reprise their characters, with Jenna Fischer (Pam), Angela Kinsey (Angela), Creed Bratton (Creed) and Leslie David Baker (Stanley) among the ones ready to return to the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.
